The Ludbrook Story.

The story begins in 1860
Ludbrook butter was the first commercially made butter in the Bay of Islands.

We still pick figs and lemons from trees in the original home orchard.

Today our Fine Foods family-run business manufactures on-site a gourmet range of quality homemade jellies, jams, preserves, condiments and fruit cakes using locally harvested fruits from the Bay of Islands and without the aid of artificial preservatives.

Ludbrook House Outlet Shop is on the Northland Food and Wine Trial.

To showcase to the many overseas and domestic Northland visitors, Enterprise Northland created a regional trail featuring many Northland food and wine producers. Over 30 producers, cafes and wineries are located on the Trail map. More.

In Summer we open our garden and invite you to take Tea, coffee or cold cordials with a slice of our delicious homemade cakes. The garden, registered with the New Zealand Garden Trust, is a traditional Country garden, rambling over a large area and incorporating the fig, plum and citrus orchard. Panoramic views over the surrounding countryside with the several pa sites forming sculptured landmarks are a feature. Relax in the shade of the decades old pepper tree and soak up the atmosphere created by this historic area.
